Miss Leah Jakubovics
I am an Orton Gillingham trained specialist having completed the Level I Associate training in 2015 under the mentorship of Founding Fellow Amy Bailin. The Certificate was issued by the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners And Educators, OGA. In working with our children, I utilize several other reading programs including the Wilson, the Linda Mood Bell Seeing Stars and the Draizy Zelcer programs.
At Gesher Yehuda Yeshiva, we work with children with learning differences — bright children who struggle in a mainstream setting. We offer small, structured learning environments designed to meet individual needs. We are an academic program with highly trained special education teachers and therapists. Since 1994, our alumni have gone on to college, careers, and successful lives. All students deserve the education that best fits their needs.
